I believe life’s best moments are found in the everyday — whether I’m baking in my kitchen, gathering eggs from my chickens, or discovering a roadside treasure during my travels. My goal with this blog is to inspire you to embrace creativity, enjoy simple pleasures, and try new things along the way.

Why This Blog?

I started Home With Tammy as a way to document my passions and connect with others who love the same things. After years of experimenting with DIY projects, perfecting my bath products, and sharing my knowledge of chicken keeping, I realized I had a lot to share — and a blog felt like the perfect way to do it.

Bath Product Creations: As the owner of Lavin the Good Life Bath & Body I’m passionate about crafting luxurious bath products. Expect recipes, tips, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of my creations — from bath bombs and shower steamers to body butters and making tallow from scratch.

Freeze Drying Adventures: Freeze drying has become one of my favorite ways to preserve food. I’ll walk you through the process, share tasty recipes, and show how freeze-dried food can be a game-changer for meal prep and snacking.

DIY Projects & Home Improvements: Inspired by my father’s incredible woodworking skills, I love tackling DIY projects around my home. I’ll share practical tips, step-by-step guides, and creative ideas to inspire your next project.

My Inspiration
This blog is also a way to honor my father, who taught me the value of hard work, creativity, and resourcefulness. He built his home from the ground up, and many of the skills I share here are inspired by him.

He also encouraged me to embrace life’s adventures — which is why I’m excited to travel across the United States in an RV someday. As I work toward that dream, I’ll be sharing travel guides, roadside attractions, and my favorite destinations for fellow adventurers.
